How to register ...

The tank battle on the transparent screen.
After each successful fight against the computer,
the level of the game goes up.
The higher is the level the clever is the computer:
the tank of the computer dodges a blow,
shoots more often ,
better takes aim etc.

You see command keys.
After loading the game Thetank.exe -> Help ->Keys
click on the buttons and select favourite keys.
Then save.

Description

      This game is intended for one or two players. Press F2 to begin. When you see the red words 'Select the game' in the center of the screen, press the big green button ( one player or two players ). By default, one player is activated. Then press any key to start playing.
      The game consists of rounds. You become a winner of a round, if you make five shot-holes in the tank of your enemy.
      If there are two players, select number of rounds of the game using the green figure buttons at the bottom of the screen. When all rounds are finished, you are billed as a winner.
      After each successful fight against the computer, the level of the game goes up. The higher is the level the clever is the computer: the tank of the computer dodges a blow, shoots more often , better takes aim etc.
      When the ninth level is over, you get a medal for bravery and the game returns to the first level. But do not celebrate thevictory! Get the three medals for bravery in succession and you are the winner!
      When night shrouds the battlefield, proceed to fight, if the strength is leaving you, hit F4 and save the game. After a good sleep press F3 to resume (load) the battle and fignt the enemy with the fresh strength.

Setup and how to register

When you downloaded the ZIP file, open the one with a utility like WinZipand and extract the files to a directory you like. The file thetanks.zip contents:

readme.htm;
readme_rus.htm.

Execute the file Thetanks.exe.
      If you have the password, then after the start press <SetUp> and <Full - SetUp>. Then enter your password. For a step-by-step illustrated guide on how to enter your password, please click here.
      If you have no the password, first press <Short - Demonstration>. For the full game you need the file mykey.key with the secret key. After start of the game the file mykey.key is created, but without the secret key. If you enter your password, the file mykey.key is created with the secret key.
      If you want to receive the password (your personal Registration Code) for the full game, then after the start press <Register> and remember your HDD code ( six figures ). Alternatively, when you are playing the game you may see your HDD code in Help->SetUp. It is not the password. You need this HDD code for registration. Open this link to register the game (select one):

      Remember: this HDD code applies only to your current set-up. Changing the hard disc or computer means you have a new HDD code and it follows from this that you need a new password.
      You will receive the password ( your personal Registration Code ) after registration ( usually in several business days ).
      Alternatively, you may get a full game without the password. Delete an old file mykey.key. Execute the file Thetanks.exe and first press <Short - Demonstration>. Then the new file mykey.key is created, but without the secret key. If we ask you to mail the file mykey.key to us, send the one via e-mail: twogames@mail.ru. Indicate in subject 'twogames'. We will send you file mykey.key back with the secret key for the full game. Replace an old file mykey.key with the new one.
      The secret key in the file mykey.key changes if you change your hard drive or change to a new computer. You will need a new file mykey.key or a new password.

Advice

1) The red cross repairs your tank. Pick up it.
2) Dodge a blow. Often a guided missile becomes blind approaching your tank. Quickly
    dash aside, perhaps, the guided missile will be miss the aim.
3) Shoot at the guided missile of the enemy.
4) Turn your barrel at the enemy and ram the tank. The end of the barrel of your
    tank can annihilate the enemy.
5) If the enemy knocks the turret of your tank down, try to pick up it.
6) Watch the demonstration on the high level. Observe the tank battle. Press F2 and
    wait a minute.
7) If you fight against a computer, you may skip low levels by press the green figure
    buttons with levels at the bottom of the screen.
8) If your guided missile is still flying, and you want to shoot again, then reload your
    gun.
